This time of year, we reflect on what we’ve accomplished over the past 12 months, and where there’s still room to make a positive impact. As an active lifestyle brand, we’re dedicated to creating products that make you feel comfortable and confident. At Ellie, our #1 priority is to help you feel and look your best, whether you’re on the move or on the couch - so all of our products are designed to fit your lifestyle. And every time we see an Instapic of you living your best life wearing Ellie, we feel good. Like giddy good!
But as we approach our final lap in 2018, we’ve been asking ourselves what we can do this holiday season to make a difference in the lives of those who could really use a helping hand. Especially those in our hometown of Los Angeles - because so many of our neighbors are struggling right now. From every SoCal fire victim who lost her home, to the teen who never had one—there are a lot of people who could use a hand this season. And we want to help.
So we’re launching a new “Shopping for a Cause” initiative this month with a simple concept. For every new Ellie subscription purchased in December and January, we’ll donate clothing to charity partners supporting victims of the recent California fires and homeless youth in Los Angeles.
Meet our charity partners…
- LA Family Housing helps people transition out of homelessness and poverty through a continuum of housing enriched with supportive services. This season they’re hosting a Winter Wonderland Holiday party—incl. lunch, a movie, toys, arts & crafts—for 800 people who have struggled with homelessness. We’re excited to donate our Ellie outfits to their young female attendees.
- New Horizons Caregiving Group is a non-profit group that works with low income and homeless families to prioritize their children’s education, through free school supplies and groceries. This season they will be giving out holiday gift boxes for families in the Hacienda La Puente School District, and we will be contributing Ellie apparel for the girls’ gift boxes.
- The Mighty Underdogs, a non-profit offering surf therapy to local disaster victims, has teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu to run a “shopping center” where fire survivors can shop for free clothing and goods. We’re proud to donate Ellie apparel to the store this season.

MORE TO COME! This is the first of what will be an ongoing effort to give back to our community every month. Check back soon to hear what we’ve got planned for 2019.
