Southern California content creator Lily shares how she's able to satisfy her wanderlust while balancing a traditional 9-to-5 and keeping her fitness routines in check. Her goal? To inspire the world with what she can do as a deaf female Asian American who can balance her passions, all while staying authentic to her true self.

What benefits do you believe there are to having a set morning routine?
Having a set morning routine leads to a healthy lifestyle and helps set you up for success. Following a strong morning routine develops the power of self-discipline, good habits, and a stronger and positive mindset. It brings you closer to finding and accomplishing your goals.
What inspired you to have a morning routine?
Keeping track of my appointments, tasks, goals, and priorities make me feel accomplished. For example, if we feel lost by having a lot on our plates, we can easily become overwhelmed, sad, stressed, and frustrated. A sense of peace and confidence in our day can help us maintain positive emotional health and help us to become resilient during times of stress.
How does fitness play a role in your morning routine/routine in general?
Physical fitness has a lot of benefits. It makes me happy and improves my health and quality of life. Plus, staying active helps me maintain a healthy weight and reduces health risks, which saves money for healthcare expenses.
I think it is important to work out at least 3 times weekly. If I ever feel like I could not be able to work out due to conflict in my schedule, I make a plan and stick with it. I always feel much better afterwards! I like going on the hikes on the weekends, that way I can explore new places and enjoy the views at the same time.
What is your typical morning breakfast?
My typical morning breakfast always includes a banana. I tend to drink a fruit smoothie with collagen powder for breakfast because it’s fast and saves my time. But sometimes, I eat eggs and oatmeal to change it up.
Is there one thing that is a MUST in your morning routine?
Drink a lot of water! Water is my best friend and I can’t live without it.
Do you stick with your morning routine when you travel, and if so, how do you do that?
Yes, I can’t skip skincare, vitamins, and breakfast! I tend to bring skincare and vitamins with me on my travels so I can stick with same morning routine daily.
My ideal routine? Get at least 8 hours of sleep. Wake up early, wash my face, apply toner, serum, essence, moisturizer, and of course, SPF!
